Brazil. This species grows  on trees, and subjected to almost full sun. If you have a light covering of shade, we think the plants would do better!  Flowers are brown in color, large with a red lip, and lasting for about 2 weeks. It has an alba form that is also very attractive!  Growing now in 2" pots.
